Infotograf ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
By using Infotograf, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your username, email address, and password (stored securely as a cryptographic hash). If you sign in with Apple, we receive the identifiers Apple provides. You may optionally provide a display name, bio, website URL, and profile photo.
Content You Create
We store photos you upload, captions you write, comments you post, and direct messages you send. Photos may have filters applied before upload.
Usage Information
We collect basic usage data such as when you log in, which posts you like, and who you follow. We do not track your behavior across other apps or websites.
Device Information
We may collect device type and operating system version for compatibility purposes and to deliver push notifications you have opted into.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the Infotograf service
- To display your posts in the chronological feeds of your followers
- To deliver direct messages to their intended recipients
- To send push notifications you have opted into (likes, comments, follows, messages)
- To enable search and discovery of users and content
- To enforce our terms of service and prevent abuse
What We Do Not Do
- We do not sell your personal data to third parties
- We do not use algorithmic feeds — your feed is always chronological
- We do not serve advertisements
- We do not track you across other apps or websites
- We do not use your data for targeted advertising
- We do not share your content with AI training datasets
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers. Authentication tokens are stored in your device's Keychain. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text. All communication between the app and our servers uses HTTPS encryption.
Third-Party Services
Infotograf uses Apple's Sign in with Apple service for optional account authentication. When you use Sign in with Apple, Apple's privacy policy applies to the authentication process. We receive only the information you authorize Apple to share.
We use cloud storage services to host uploaded photos. These services process data on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect it.
Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account through Settings, all your data — including posts, comments, likes, followers, and messages — is permanently removed from our servers.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data through your profile and settings
- Correct your personal information at any time via Edit Profile
- Delete your account and all associated data through Settings
- Control push notification preferences in the app
- Block other users from interacting with you
- Report content that violates our guidelines
Children's Privacy
Infotograf is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has created an account, we will delete it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
